Assessment and implementation plan
The majority of the activities on the Weebly website will act as skill-building activities to prepare for assessment tasks. Portfolio assessment is used in all LINC classes to assess learners using alternative forms of traditional testing and by focusing on authentic, real-world tasks (Pettis, 2014). Assessment in LINC programs are completed through both formal assessment tasks and in-class skill-using activities, and both will be used during this module. I will anecdotally assess learners’ abilities to navigate websites and will formally assess learners on writing and reading. The writing assessment tasks will occur in the classroom using paper, as I do not want learners’ computer literacy skills to interfere with their demonstration of language skills. Once the module is complete, the learners will give feedback on how the technology enhanced their learning through an online survey from Survey Monkey. As this project will be used in my CLB 6 class in October 2018, I will then know that I might need to change for the future. I anticipate that some learners will need more support than other learners with the lessons. Even though the lessons are organized in a scaffolded method to encourage development of computer skills, it is likely that some learners will still need extra support with Lesson 4 which is intended to be completed independently. As learners are going to be developing their skills, I cannot and will not expect the lessons to be completed entirely as I intend. With observation and survey feedback, I will learn what needs to be changed in order to more fully support and encourage technological growth.
The following assessments will be used with this module:
1. Note-taking while listening to advice and writing notes to a neighbour: This assessment is linked directly to Lesson 4: Searching online for home safety tips.

3. Reading comprehension: The learners will read an article giving suggestions and advice about moving out of a place. They will then answer comprehension, vocabulary, and inference questions, and infer order of steps.
